On March 18, Jessica Yu, a Senior Educator with UBC Child Care led Exploring Sustainability Through a Child’s Eyes, a unique campus tour at UBC Vancouver, organized in partnership with UBC Sustainability for SDG Month Canada. With over 30 attendees—including UBC students, faculty, staff, Child Care parents and a group of high school students—Jessica took the group to numerous locations on campus often visited by the children in her care, such as the stream and well behind the Neville Scarfe building and the echo chamber at Main Mall and Memorial Road. At each stop on the tour, she shared stories and details about how the children interact with, experience and perceive these spaces to reveal a child’s perspective of campus.
