Congratulations to everyone on the Operational Services Local Safety Team (LST) on receiving a Safety Achievement Award at UBC Safety Day on October 8, 2025. The Operational Services LST was recognized for innovation and collaboration in recognition of their initiative to trial a powered stair climber (instead of a traditional, manual dolly) to move heavy appliances around the Vancouver campus and help keep injury rates low.
