From April 7 to 10, Facilities and Building Services teamed up with Campus and Community Planning for a waste audit at Marine Drive residence. On these dates, staff collected all waste from Marine Drive buildings 1 and 2 to assess how much is being diverted from the landfill and find out what types of waste are being improperly sorted. This project will provide us with important data to establish a baseline rate for waste diversion and determine any new waste interventions, such as a specific pizza box waste stream.
