November is Thrive month—a time when we come together as a UBC community to learn about, talk about, and explore ways to support our mental health.

Help keep our UBC community warm and dry this winter by donating to the Holiday Clothing Drive. Donated products will be given out to students and families in need at the Acadia Community Food Hub in December.

We’re accepting donations at these locations from now until November 30.

What can I donate?

Warm winter clothing such as jackets, hats, mittens, scarves, boots, gloves, etc.

We are seeking players that can outwit, outplay and outlast in a 10 day adventure!

From November 20–December 1, survivor names will be randomly drawn each day to be voted out of SHCS Survivor. Those voted out will be emailed each day at 2 pm (names will only be elected on weekdays). The ultimate survivor will receive a $100 gift card to Amazon.

How to Register

1. Make a $10 virtual donation to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank
2. Email out.standing@ubc.ca stating you wish to participate and provide verification that you donated

Come on out to this year’s OWC Winter Festival. Join your fellow colleagues for skating, cookie decorating, games, food and more.

Limited skate rentals will be available—bring ’em if you have ’em.

Time: 2:30 pm–5:30 pm*
Location: Thunderbird Arena
Cost: Free!

*Skating will be available between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm; all other activities ongoing from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
