UBC Facilities’ Kids to Work Day is back! We’re excited to welcome Grade 9 children of UBC staff in UBC Facilities, Safety & Risk Services, and Student Housing & Community Services, for a fun, hands-on day exploring the people, trades, technology and careers that help keep our campus running.
Participants will take part in team-building activities, behind-the-scenes experiences, demonstrations and campus activities, giving them a chance to see parts of UBC they may not normally experience and discover the many career paths available at the university.
Who can participate?
Kids to Work Day is designed especially for students whose parents cannot accommodate them in a traditional job-shadowing experience because of the nature of their work. If we receive more registrations than available spaces, these students will receive priority.
How do I register?
Registration opens Thursday, October 1 and closes Friday, October 23. Parents must complete the registration form and all required consent and participation forms. Registration can be completed in either of the following ways:
- Online: Complete the registration form and submit any required forms as instructed.
- In person: Complete the registration forms and submit them to UBC Facilities Reception, 2nd Floor, University Services Building (USB).
Please note: Registration is only considered complete when all required forms have been submitted. Incomplete registrations may not be considered.
