Decolonizing mental health services on campus

by | Nov 4, 2022

Recently, UBC announced a number of Indigenous-focused projects that were collectively granted $4 million in funding through the Indigenous Strategic Initiatives Fund (ISI Fund). Please join us in thanking Freeman Woolnough—our Associate Director, Residence Life, Counsellors in Residence program—for his leadership in securing a $68,602 grant for UBC’s Counselling and Health Equity, Promotion and Education teams to perform critical work in “creating systemic change for Indigenous students through increasing awareness and knowledge of how colonization impacts campus counselling systems.”
