Orange Shirt Day T-shirt sales at UBC Bookstore

by | Sep 12, 2022

Orange Shirt Day + National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (September 30) is a day of awareness of the individual, family, and community intergenerational impacts of Indian Residential Schools. Each year, UBC’s Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre (IRSHDC) works with an Indigenous artist to create a unique Orange Shirt Day T-shirt design. This year’s shirts feature the work of xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) artist Darryl Blyth. Shirts are currently available for sale – online or in-person – at UBC Bookstore, with all proceeds donated to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) and Orange Shirt Society.
