On September 17, UBC Okanagan Food Services will be conducting an educational fruit and vegetable canning workshop with a group of students and alumni, along with volunteers from the BC Tree Fruits cooperative. Food Services is providing the food and BC Tree Fruits is providing the canning jars. Participants donate at least one of their jars of canned food to the Pantry student food bank in support of campus food security.

We are excited to invite you to our first in-person Not Myself Today (NMT) session. It’s time to come together, meet new faces, and learn some powerful ways to boost your mental health.
This session will cover positive ways to cope in times of change. You’ll learn coping tips backed by science, and we’ll guide you through a mindfulness exercise. It will be a fun and informative session delivered by Miranda Massie, M.Ed, from UBC Workplace Wellbeing.

Join a crew of your SHCS colleagues and take part in the Longest Day Road Race on June 16, 2023. Enjoy an evening run on UBC’s beautiful campus followed by the best post-run party in Vancouver! There will be a BBQ, live music, kids’ play zone, beer garden, and a picnic area!
This amazing 5K, 10K or Kids’ Mile raises money for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, along with school track and field programs for elementary age students.
On the day of the event, please meet the SHCS group in front of the live band area at 6:15 pm—and, if you’ve got one, please wear your SHCS T-shirt!
